Dans les forêts de Malaisie, les cimes des arbres sont habitées pas d'étranges animaux : ce ne sont pas des oiseaux et pourtant ils volent, ou plus précisément, ils planent.
Grenouilles, serpents, lézards ou colugos ont des aptitudes pour se déplacer dans les arbres.
Deux jeunes chercheurs, Jake Socha et Norman Linn, sont venus les étudier. Ils installent un laboratoire en plein air. Leur mission va s'avérer compliquée..
